We are excited to welcome students for learning and to celebrate the start of the 2025-26 school year on September 3, 2025. We would like to share an update with families from YWCA KW regarding before and after school care at Willow River Public School.

YWCA KW Childcare Program Opens September 8

We understand and recognize that childcare services are important to families.

We can now confirm that the before and after school care program will now open on September 8, 2025. We appreciate your patience during this transition and are excited to welcome students to the program starting September 8.

Please note that this update only applies to before and after school care. The childcare centre is still on track to open in November 2025.

First Day of School is September 3

We are committed to minimizing the impact the final stages of construction will have on the Willow River PS learning environment. Our staff is dedicated to maintaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging school experience for all students. We continue to work closely with YWCA KW to provide care for families as soon as possible.

We look forward to welcoming students and families to our new school in September.
